Hitachi Energy Combiflex Auxiliary Relays
Auxiliary relays are intended for installations where high operating requirements exist, either in terms of operating time or contact rating (heavy breaking duty), or where normal industrial-type relays are not suitable. The relays are suitable for tripping, blocking, interlocking, signalling, etc. in protection, control, and industrial systems. Hitachi Energy’s auxiliary relays have low power consumption, are space saving, and have a high degree of safety. They are available in various coil and contact ratings and configurations.

RXMVB is a heavy-duty permanent magnet bistable relay. Because of RXMVB 4 coil cut-off contacts, this relay is also applied where the upper limit of the supply voltage can exceed the continuous voltage rating. This feature can also be used to speed up the relay operating time. I.e. a 48 V DC relay may be applied at 125 V DC when high-speed is of the essence. Series resistors can also be used to speed up voltage relays operated at higher voltages.
A flag can be added as an option to all RXMVB 4 relays.

RXMA 1 is a general purpose auxiliary relay having up to 7 contacts. The design simplicity and low burden makes it suitable as an interposing relay in control equipment, contact-multiplication, general signalling purposes and various applications in protective relay assemblies and panels.

RXMH 2 is an auxiliary relay with heavy-duty bridge contacts. It is used as a tripping relay or as a protective multi-contact output relay. It has a high breaking capacity, good contact reliability and is free from risk of contact welding. RXMH 2 is used when many heavy-duty contacts are required.
RXMH 2 can, as an option, be provided with an operating flag indicator. The flag becomes visible when the armature picks-up and remains visible after drop-out. RXMS 1 is particularly suitable as tripping relay due to its extremely short operate time and high dc current contact making capacity. Up to six contacts are available. One version of RXMS 1 is not influenced by capacitive discharges in dc battery systems during earth-faults.
That version has an increased voltage insulation level across open contacts and is used where high disturbance immunity is required. The RTXV voltage control unit may be used to increase operating value above half the battery voltage value.
RXMS 1 is often used in combination with heavy-duty and multi-contact auxiliary relays, e.g. RXME 1, RXME 18 and RXMH 2. This provides high-speed tripping contacts from RXMS 1 and contacts from the slower heavy-duty relays are used in parallel to provide current interrupting capability. This is often used as an accessory to protective relays in a station for secure operation of the included breakers and allows the trip circuit current interruption even if there is a breaker failure.
The RXMS 1 relay is designed for DC supply.
